Spirits Aren''t Spooky - They Heal

Have you ever felt strangely touched when you were in a place of worship? Logically, your mind tells you that there is nothing there, but your heart has registered something and your body reacts by slowing down almost as if in homage. This is a spiritual experience. Spiritual healing is based on the individuals belief in the spirit. Spirituality is the recognition and acceptance of a powerful external force (some call it God) that has some influence on the individual.

This external force can provide inspiration, joy, guidance and peace of mind; these feelings often go beyond what is normally possible in the absence of conviction.

Spiritual healing works almost miraculously and heals mental, emotional and physical problems. The word spiritual refers to the divine nature of the energy that is used for healing. The healer is not the source of this energy; the healing does not come FROM the healer, but THROUGH him. Spiritual healing techniques believe that all diseases begin in the mind or spirit of the person. When the problem deteriorates, physical symptoms begin to appear. Spiritual healing aims to attack the root of the problem. Healing begins at the spiritual level.

Spiritual healing takes place when a guru or a guide transfers the positive energy from his own body to that of a patient. Since the body, mind and spirit is seen as a single entity the practitioner seeks to harmonize all forces to enhance good health and fight disease. The healer usually places his hand on the patients body and is believed to channel energy from an unknown Higher Force into the patient.

Healers who undertake spiritual healing believe that everyone has a healing mechanism that flows as an energy force around the body and keeps the body in perfect harmony. Unfortunately, stress and inadequate diet coupled with wrong lifestyle choices block the healing mechanism so that it cannot function properly. As a result the bodys positive energy gets depleted. When the healer channels energy into the body of the patient, the patients healing mechanism receives a massive boost of positive energy. This replenishes the used up reservoirs.

Most spiritual healing techniques have their roots in the ancient Buddhist and Chinese healing traditions. According to these cultures, the body is a single entity made of mental and physical elements. Healing takes place with the use of herbs along with practicing meditation and using prayer wheels. All these methods work TOGETHER to heal illness.

Some people tend to be a little suspicious about spiritual healing because nothing actually seems to be happening while the healing is channeled. To the onlooker, spiritual healing seems almost boring. But to those who have actually experienced the power of spiritual healing, they tend to carry on with the healing process without any fuss.

The actual healing process in the spiritual healing technique does not always work at the physical level. In some cases, the illness may remain, but our ability to cope with the illness improves. In case the sick person is skeptical, he blocks the healing energy from entering his body. Then the healing process may not work at all.

Spiritual healing does not bring about drastic change. The process requires at least 5-8 sessions to start taking effect. The biggest advantage of spiritual healing is that it is non-invasive and has on-going effects because it equips the body with lasting tools to fight dis-ease.

What is homeopathy?

An alternative treatment of disease involving the consumption of natural materials that simulate the symptoms of the disease. These materials are first diluted in pure water to such an extent that there are generally no molecules of the original material left. The efficacy of this treatment is rejected by most medical experts. It has the potential of causing harm, because individuals may seek a cure through homeopathy, and ignore the potential for a cure from a physician.
A natural pharmaceutical science that utilizes substances from the plant, mineral, and animal kingdoms and is based on the premise that these naturally occurring substances can cure disease symptoms similar to those they produce if taken in overdose. Each medicine is individually prescribed according to how it stimulates the immune and defence systems of the sick person. Sometimes it is called the “royal medicine.
A form of medicine that relies on minute amounts of herbs, minerals, and other substances to stimulate natural defences against disease. It is more widely used in Western Europe than the United States. Developed in the late 18th century by Samuel Hahnemann, MD, the therapy uses the "law of similars" to treat disease. That is, if large amounts of a substance such as quinine cause symptoms of an illness in a healthy person, then smaller amounts should be used for the cure.
